My current research interests fall into three broad categories. First, exercise and immune function focused on cell death (signaling pathway and gene expression), oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines is my life-span interest. Secondarily, my concern of immune response to exercise has been extended to cigarette smokers, where I would like to investigate effects of exercise training on immune function in smokers. Obesity is another concern of my research. I would like to find out the way we can lower the prevalence of obesity in children and also how we can maximize fat loss in adult population.
