Research Interests:
My research interests focus on educational leadership, equity in special education, and practicum-based learning. I explore the challenges and systemic barriers faced by minorities in educational leadership, particularly the underrepresentation of Latinas in administrative roles. I am also interested in the preparation and supervision of future educational diagnosticians, ensuring they receive effective mentorship and practical field-based training. Additionally, I examine evidence-based instructional strategies for students with disabilities, emphasizing compliance with state expectations and the critical role of site supervisors in shaping professional competency. My research aims to bridge theory and practice, fostering inclusivity, leadership development, and the practical application of special education policies in real-world settings.
