1. Teaching piano to non-musicians as a practical skill; de-mystifying the process through applied visual/aural/tactile connections. 2. Muscle/kinesthetic memory for beginners, continuing musicians and performing artists; 3. Classical and "popular" piano music of the early twentieth century, its influences and influencers; 4. Jazz improvisation, particularly the Great American Songbook and Latin genres. 5. Arts advocacy and development of arts education; cultural tourism in our community; 6. Revitalization of downtown Laredo as an arts hub for non-profits. 7. Maintaining quality and access to educational creative resources in our community.
